Exalt Design Group is an experiential concept based interior design firm.
Our Ethos
The tenets of hospitality are the bedrock of what we do. Lighting, acoustics, biophilia, scent and wellbeing are prioritized in the design project as these design elements contribute to an elevated interior experience. The goal is to go beyond a “great look” and create a relevant and wonderful experience for the users of the interior space.
The Founder
Aisha Coats-Duncan
Exalt Design Group lead by principal designer, Aisha Coats-Duncan, works with design associates, a network of industry trade partners and vendors. Aisha is an award-winning interior designer and consultant with a background in luxury residential and hospitality design. Formally trained, she earned a Masters of Arts in Interior Design and a BBA in Business/Marketing. She worked at Simeone Deary Design Group (now KTGY) and Tom Stringer Design Partners prior to starting her own firm. An advocate for the interior design profession, Aisha is a member of the American Society of Interior Designers and a past Board Director of the ASID Illinois Chapter. She has received an ASID IL Design Excellence award and was named the 2022 ASID IL Rising Star.
Aisha’s design philosophy and aesthetic are heavily influenced by interior design studies in Japan and world travel to Europe, Africa and South America. A lover of good people, food, music, and art. Aisha’s experiences help to inform her approach to design, to ensure the highest level of alchemy is achieved in each bespoke project.
